  • Students who meet the eligibility criteria may take the exam for up to two courses in order to fulfill their graduation requirements.
  • To be eligible, students must also satisfy the normal requirements for entering the course’s final exam.
  • Note: No make-up exam is provided for students who miss the Graduation Exam.

📝 How to Apply

Students wishing to take the Graduation Exam must apply to their department during the application period announced in the academic calendar. Follow these steps:

  1. Fill Out the Form: Complete the official Graduation Exam application form, which can be accessed here: YTÜ Graduation Exam Form.
  2. Prepare Your Transcript: Obtain a copy of your current academic transcript.
  3. Submit to Your Department: Submit the completed form along with your transcript to your department secretary.

Important: Application submission methods may vary slightly between departments (e.g., some accept digital copies via email, while others require physical documents). Always check your department’s specific announcements for the exact submission method.

🗣️ Course Language Rules

The language of the Graduation Exam is normally determined automatically based on the language in which the course was previously taken.

  • Turkish Courses: If the course was taken in Turkish, the exam will be recorded in Turkish.
  • English Courses: If the course was taken in English, the exam will be recorded in English.

Exceptions:

  • If a student has taken the same course in different semesters using different languages, they may choose the language of the Graduation Exam before the examination.
  • Students enrolled in partially or fully foreign-language programs may also have additional language options for certain Social Elective courses used to satisfy foreign-language credit requirements, subject to university regulations.
